About the Role

DeepSource Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cybersecurity Operations Expert to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In this critical role, you will be responsible for safeguarding our organization’s digital infrastructure, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data. As a key member of our cybersecurity operations, you will monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents while implementing robust security measures to mitigate risks and protect against evolving cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities

• Security Monitoring and Incident Response: Proactively monitor security systems, including SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), IDS/IPS (Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems), and endpoint protection platforms to identify and respond to potential security incidents. Conduct thorough investigations to determine the root cause of incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Threat Detection and Analysis: Utilize advanced threat intelligence tools and techniques to identify emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities. Analyze security logs, alerts, and reports to assess risks and recommend mitigation strategies. Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, attack vectors, and industry best practices to enhance our security posture.
• Security Infrastructure Management: Collaborate with IT teams to design, implement, and maintain security controls, including firewalls, VPNs, encryption, and access management systems. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, such as ISO 27001, NIST, and local cybersecurity laws in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify weaknesses in our systems and applications. Work closely with development and operations teams to remediate vulnerabilities and strengthen our security defenses.
• Security Awareness and Training: Develop and deliver cybersecurity awareness programs to educate employees on best practices, phishing risks, and social engineering tactics. Promote a culture of security awareness across the organization to reduce human-related security risks.
• Compliance and Auditing: Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, evidence, and insights into our security controls and processes. Ensure adherence to cybersecurity policies, procedures, and regulatory frameworks to maintain compliance with applicable laws and standards.
• Collaboration and Reporting: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, and risk management, to align cybersecurity initiatives with business objectives. Prepare comprehensive reports on security incidents, trends, and recommendations for senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or CISM are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity operations, with a strong background in security monitoring, incident response, and threat analysis.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, IBM QRadar, ArcSight), IDS/IPS solutions, and endpoint protection platforms.
• Proficiency in vulnerability assessment tools (e.g., Nessus, OpenVAS) and penetration testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and standards, including ISO 27001, NIST, and local cybersecurity regulations in Saudi Arabia.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex security data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities under pressure.
