Key Responsibilities

• Vehicle Operation: Safely operate heavy-duty trucks, including tipper trucks, flatbeds, and other specialized vehicles, to transport construction materials such as aggregates, sand, gravel, and heavy machinery.
• Load Management: Ensure proper loading, securing, and unloading of materials while adhering to safety protocols and weight restrictions to prevent accidents and damage.
• Site Coordination: Collaborate with site managers, engineers, and logistics teams to plan and execute transportation schedules, minimizing delays and optimizing efficiency.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to identify any mechanical issues, report defects, and ensure vehicles are in optimal working condition. Perform basic maintenance tasks as required.
• Regulatory Compliance: Strictly adhere to local traffic laws, company policies, and industry regulations governing the operation of heavy vehicles. Maintain accurate logs and documentation as mandated.
• Safety Protocols: Prioritize safety at all times by following established safety procedures, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and promoting a culture of safety awareness among colleagues.
• Customer Service: Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring a positive and reliable service experience.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Heavy Driver, preferably within the construction or logistics industry.
• Licensing: Valid Saudi driver’s license with a heavy vehicle endorsement (Class C or equivalent). Additional certifications, such as a Heavy Vehicle Safety Permit, are advantageous.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating various types of heavy vehicles, including tipper trucks, articulated lorries, and low-loaders. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning tools is beneficial.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting, securing loads, and working in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions.
• Safety Awareness: A strong commitment to safety protocols, defensive driving techniques, and the ability to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English, with the ability to follow instructions and provide clear updates to team members.
• Reliability: A punctual and dependable attitude, with the ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings, or weekends, as required by project deadlines.
