About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Vascular Surgery Registrar to join our dynamic vascular and endovascular surgery team. This is a prime opportunity to contribute to a high-volume surgical practice while gaining extensive exposure to a diverse range of procedures, including open vascular surgeries, endovascular interventions, dialysis access management, and advanced limb salvage techniques. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments, diagnose, and develop management plans for patients presenting with vascular conditions.
- Provide surgical assistance in both open vascular and endovascular procedures, contributing to optimal patient outcomes.
- Oversee the delivery of inpatient and outpatient vascular surgery services, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
- Participate in emergency vascular surgery call coverage, demonstrating adaptability and clinical proficiency under pressure.
- Perform comprehensive patient rounds, maintain accurate clinical documentation, and facilitate meticulous discharge planning.
- Assist in preoperative evaluations and deliver high-standard postoperative care to promote recovery and minimize complications.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including radiologists, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff, to deliver holistic patient care.
- Engage actively in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical audits to enhance service standards and patient safety.
- Contribute to the education and mentorship of junior medical staff and medical students, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Uphold the highest ethical standards, professionalism, and patient safety in all clinical and administrative duties.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Hold a medical degree recognized by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
- Possess current registration or eligibility for registration with SCFHS.
- Have completed a recognized residency or training program in General Surgery.
- Currently hold or be eligible for the designation of Vascular Surgery Registrar or equivalent.
- Demonstrate strong clinical acumen and surgical proficiency with a keen interest in vascular and endovascular surgery.
- Exhibit exceptional communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Arabic is considered advantageous.
Preferred Experience
- Hands-on experience in vascular ultrasound imaging.
- Exposure to endovascular interventions, including stenting and angioplasty procedures.
- Practical experience in dialysis access surgery, including the creation and management of arteriovenous fistulas and grafts.
- Interest and involvement in diabetic foot management and advanced limb salvage techniques.
