SAP Finance Consultant (FICO)

Position Overview

We are looking for a seasoned SAP Finance Team Lead (FI/CO) to spearhead Finance & Controlling workstreams across SAP implementation, rollout, and transformation initiatives. This pivotal role demands expertise in solution design, system configuration, and cross-functional integration while ensuring adherence to regulatory compliance, including IFRS standards and regional mandates. As the primary liaison to Finance stakeholders, you will lead a team of SAP FI/CO consultants, guiding them through the entire project lifecycle—from initial design to post-go-live optimization. Your strategic leadership will drive the delivery of robust, business-aligned SAP Finance solutions that enhance operational efficiency and financial governance.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be accountable for the following core responsibilities:

• Workstream Leadership: Oversee end-to-end SAP FI/CO workstreams, including implementation, rollout, and transformation projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and project milestones.
• Solution Architecture & Design: Conduct Fit-to-Standard and Fit-Gap workshops to define solution architecture, produce detailed functional design documentation, and tailor SAP FI/CO modules to meet organizational requirements.
• System Configuration & Integration: Configure SAP FI/CO modules (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, etc.) and ensure seamless integration with MM, SD, PP, HR/Payroll, Treasury, and other critical business functions.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to IFRS, ZATCA regulations, VAT, Withholding Tax (WHT), and statutory financial reporting requirements, mitigating risks and maintaining audit readiness.
• Testing & Cutover Management: Lead Finance testing activities, including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), cutover planning, data migration, opening balances, and Hypercare support to ensure a smooth transition to production.
• Project Governance & Quality Assurance: Manage project timelines, deliverables, and quality assurance processes while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and adherence to SAP best practices.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Coach and mentor SAP FI/CO consultants, facilitating knowledge transfer and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions across client engagements.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Finance executives, business stakeholders, auditors, and cross-functional teams to deliver tailored SAP solutions that drive operational excellence and financial transparency.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for solution optimization, process automation, and the adoption of SAP Finance innovations to enhance client value and operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Certifications: Professional certifications such as SAP Certified Application Associate in FI/CO are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in SAP Finance (FI/CO), with a proven track record in delivering full lifecycle SAP implementations.

Technical & Functional Competencies

The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive skill set encompassing:

• SAP FI/CO Modules: Expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance, General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, CO-PA, and Profitability Analysis.
• Advanced SAP Features: Proficiency in Universal Journal (ACDOCA), Advanced Asset Accounting, Group Reporting, Treasury (TRM), Bank Communication Management (BCM), Advanced Financial Closing (AFC), and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning.
• Localization & Compliance: In-depth knowledge of KSA localization, ZATCA e-Invoicing, VAT, WHT, IFRS, and Arabic financial reporting standards.
• Integration & Tools: Experience with cross-module integrations (MM, SD, PP, HR/Payroll), SAP Fiori, SAP Solution Manager, Cloud ALM, Migration Cockpit (LTMC), Analysis for Office, and SAP Document & Reporting Compliance (DRC).
• Project Execution: Strong capabilities in data migration, SIT, UAT, cutover planning, and Hypercare management to ensure seamless system transitions.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional stakeholder management, team leadership, and executive communication skills to foster collaboration and drive project success.
