About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commissioning Engineer – Mechanical to join our dynamic team in Riyadh. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the final stages of mechanical systems installation, ensuring seamless integration, functionality, and compliance with industry standards. Your expertise will be critical in validating that all mechanical components operate efficiently and meet project specifications before handover to the client. Key Responsibilities

  • System Validation: Conduct thorough inspections and performance tests on mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and industrial machinery, to confirm operational readiness.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed commissioning reports, including test results, deviations, and corrective actions, ensuring all records are accurate and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to align commissioning activities with project timelines and deliverables.
  • Troubleshooting & Resolution: Identify and address mechanical issues during the commissioning phase, proposing and implementing effective solutions to mitigate risks and ensure project continuity.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all mechanical systems adhere to local and international codes, safety protocols, and environmental regulations throughout the commissioning process.
  • Client Handover Support: Facilitate smooth transitions by providing technical guidance to clients, training end-users, and addressing any post-commissioning queries or concerns.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical system commissioning, preferably within industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in commissioning tools, software (e.g., AutoCAD, BIM 360), and testing methodologies for mechanical systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise with cross-functional teams and stakeholders effectively.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CxA, LEED, or PMP) are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with local regulations and standards in Saudi Arabia is preferred.
