Position Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive General Accountant to join our finance team in Riyadh. This full-time, on-site role is pivotal in maintaining the financial integrity of our operations by overseeing daily accounting activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing strategic financial insights to support business decisions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, demonstrating expertise in general accounting principles, financial reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily Accounting Operations: Record journal entries, maintain general ledgers, and reconcile bank and account balances with precision and timeliness.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, to support monthly and yearly closing processes.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage invoicing, expense tracking, and vendor payments while ensuring timely collections from clients to optimize cash flow.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in developing and monitoring budgets, as well as providing financial insights to guide strategic planning and operational efficiency.
• Audit Support: Facilitate internal and external audits by maintaining organized documentation, ensuring adherence to accounting standards, and implementing robust internal controls.
• Cash Flow Management: Monitor and analyze cash flow trends to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure liquidity meets operational needs.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with finance, operations, and senior management teams to provide actionable financial data that drives informed decision-making.

Qualifications & Skills

• Technical Expertise: Proven experience in general accounting, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliation, with a strong grasp of accounting principles and standards.
• Financial Reporting: Proficiency in preparing financial reports, supporting month-end and year-end closing processes, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling.
• Compliance & Audit Readiness: Ability to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and internal policies, while supporting audit processes with accuracy and transparency.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving: Exceptional numerical aptitude, attention to detail, and analytical skills to identify discrepancies, resolve financial issues, and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Communication & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders across departments and present financial information clearly and concisely.
• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are highly desirable. Prior experience in corporate or holding-company finance is preferred, with exposure to the food and beverage sector being an added advantage.
• Work Environment: Capable of working on-site in Riyadh with the flexibility to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
