Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and reliability of all mechanical systems within our facility. This role involves supervising, operating, and maintaining systems such as HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, drainage, and other mechanical utilities, while adhering to safety, environmental, and operational standards.

• Operation & Maintenance: Supervise, operate, and maintain mechanical systems; monitor system performance for energy efficiency; respond to equipment breakdowns and perform root cause analysis.
• Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance schedules; ensure timely corrective actions to minimize downtime; coordinate with contractors/vendors for specialized maintenance.
• Technical & Compliance: Ensure compliance with standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, SBC, etc.); review technical reports, drawings, and specifications; maintain O&M documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports.
• Projects & Upgrades: Support facility upgrade projects and retrofits; coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers; participate in testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Enforce safety procedures and HSE policies; conduct risk assessments for mechanical operations; respond to mechanical equipment emergencies.
• Team & Coordination: Supervise and train junior engineers and technicians; coordinate with electrical, civil, and facility teams; liaise with landlords, tenants, and external agencies.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, with 15 years of experience, preferably in high-rise/commercial buildings. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, CMMS, and familiarity with HVAC, firefighting, plumbing, mechanical systems, and standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, ISO, SBC is required. Fluency in English and Arabic is also preferred.
