PRODUCTION ENGINEER

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Engineer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Key Responsibilities

• Process Optimization and Lean Implementation: Apply advanced Lean Manufacturing principles, including Just-In-Time (JIT), Six Sigma, Ishikawa (Fishbone) diagrams, 5S methodology, Single-Minute Exchange of Die (SMED), and Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycles, to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall process efficiency. Identify opportunities for automation and process automation to streamline operations.
• Production Operations Management: Oversee all stages of production, from raw material procurement to the delivery of finished goods. Operate and maintain production machinery in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other relevant guidelines. Ensure seamless coordination between different departments to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Quality Assurance and Compliance: Conduct rigorous inspections and tests on tools, spare parts, raw materials, work-in-progress items, and finished products using a variety of laboratory equipment. Verify compliance with engineering and procedural standards to identify and address deviations promptly. Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to mitigate risks and enhance product quality.
• Health, Safety, and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to local, regional, and international occupational health and safety regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures. Interpret legal requirements and industry standards to protect personnel, property, and market integrity. Promote a culture of safety and compliance across the organization.
• Process Monitoring and Continuous Improvement: Systematically monitor and evaluate the entire manufacturing process to identify areas for improvement. Utilize data-driven insights to drive engineering and manufacturing enhancements, ensuring that quality standards are consistently met or exceeded. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and innovative solutions.
• Communication and Documentation: Communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats, delivering clear, concise, and comprehensive information to stakeholders at all levels. Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to production activities, quality metrics, and compliance efforts. Facilitate knowledge sharing and training to support team development and operational excellence.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• A bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related disciplines are highly desirable.
• Proven experience in a production engineering or manufacturing operations role, with a track record of implementing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive efficiency and quality improvements.
• Strong technical knowledge of production machinery, tools, and manufacturing processes, including experience with automation and process optimization.
• Familiarity with occupational health and safety regulations, quality management systems, and regulatory compliance standards.
• Proficiency in using inspection and testing equipment, as well as data analysis tools to monitor process performance and identify trends.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
