Senior Network Administrator

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Administrator to join our dynamic team based in Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the strategic design, implementation, and management of our enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, robust security, and full compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities

The Senior Network Administrator will play a central role in the following areas:

• Network Infrastructure Design and Management: Develop, deploy, and maintain comprehensive network solutions, including LAN, WAN, Data Center, Cloud connectivity, SD-WAN, and VPN architectures, to support seamless business operations.
• Network Security Implementation: Configure, monitor, and maintain advanced security solutions such as Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), Intrusion Prevention/Intrusion Detection Systems (IPS/IDS), Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Network Access Control (NAC), and secure access technologies to safeguard the organization against evolving cyber threats.
• Vendor-Specific Networking Expertise: Provide hands-on support and administration for enterprise networking technologies, including Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, F5, and other industry-leading solutions to ensure seamless integration and performance.
• Security Operations Center (SOC) Integration: Collaborate with the SOC team to integrate network security monitoring tools, including SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), NDR (Network Detection and Response), log forwarding, NetFlow, and other security monitoring solutions to enhance threat detection and response capabilities.
• Incident Management and Troubleshooting: Lead network troubleshooting efforts, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime and ensure continuous network availability. Manage incident response in alignment with organizational protocols.
• Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Support and enhance Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) initiatives to ensure resilience and rapid recovery in the event of network disruptions or failures.
• Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including diagrams, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and operational guidelines. Ensure strict adherence to cybersecurity standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.

Requirements and Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network administration, with a proven track record in designing, implementing, and managing complex network environments.
• Technical Proficiency:
  • In-depth experience with Cisco networking technologies, including routing and switching protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
  • Expertise in configuring and managing Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, and F5 firewall solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN architectures, VLAN segmentation, and SD-WAN technologies.
  • Proficiency in VPN technologies, including IPSec and SSL VPN solutions.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or equivalent platforms to ensure proactive performance management.
  • Familiarity with SIEM/SOC integration and security monitoring practices.
• Regulatory and Compliance Knowledge: Prior experience in banking or highly regulated environments is highly desirable. Familiarity with the SAMA Cybersecurity Framework, NCA ECC (National Cybersecurity Authority Essential Cybersecurity Controls), PDPL (Personal Data Protection Law), and NDMO (National Disaster Management Organization) standards is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
