Key Responsibilities

The Site Engineer (Steel Structure) will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating all on-site activities related to steel structure projects. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Project Supervision: Lead and supervise daily steel structure erection, fabrication, and installation activities to ensure alignment with approved shop drawings, project specifications, and construction schedules.
• Technical Coordination: Collaborate closely with project managers, QA/QC engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams to facilitate seamless execution of construction activities.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor and verify steel fabrication, erection, alignment, bolting, welding, and installation processes to ensure compliance with project quality standards and safety regulations.
• Material Verification: Inspect and confirm that all materials delivered to the site meet project specifications and quality requirements.
• Issue Resolution: Address technical challenges and provide engineering support during construction to minimize disruptions and maintain project momentum.
• Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate daily progress reports, site documentation, work schedules, and material requests to track project milestones and ensure transparency.
• Resource Management: Monitor manpower, equipment, and resources to optimize productivity and achieve project deadlines without compromising quality.
• Inspection Coordination: Facilitate and coordinate inspections with QA/QC teams and client representatives to obtain necessary approvals for completed work.
• Technical Review: Evaluate shop drawings, method statements, and technical documents to ensure accuracy and feasibility before execution.
• Safety Compliance: Uphold and enforce construction safety standards and site management practices to create a secure working environment for all personnel.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Structural Engineering, or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience as a Site Engineer, with a strong focus on steel structure fabrication and erection projects.
• Prior work experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC countries is highly advantageous, as familiarity with local regulations and construction practices is essential.

The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:

• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of steel structure erection, fabrication, welding, and installation processes, along with the ability to interpret structural drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication details.
• Construction Methods: A solid understanding of modern construction techniques, site execution strategies, and project coordination principles.
• Communication & Leadership: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong leadership abilities to guide and motivate site teams effectively.

• Software Proficiency: Competency in MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, and other relevant project documentation tools to streamline workflows and reporting.
