IBM CP4I OpenShift Operations/Administrator

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IBM CP4I OpenShift Operations/Administrator to join our dynamic team in Riyadh. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the seamless operation, administration, and optimization of IBM Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4I) on OpenShift environments. Your expertise will ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our integration infrastructure, supporting business-critical applications and workflows. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge of OpenShift, IBM CP4I components, and cloud-native architectures, combined with a strong commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• OpenShift Cluster Management: Administer, monitor, and maintain OpenShift clusters, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance. This includes cluster provisioning, upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting of infrastructure-related issues.
• IBM CP4I Administration: Deploy, configure, and manage IBM Cloud Pak for Integration components, such as API Connect, App Connect, Event Streams, and MQ, to enable seamless integration across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices, including role-based access control (RBAC), network policies, and encryption, to safeguard sensitive data and meet regulatory requirements.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze system performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to enhance efficiency, reduce latency, and ensure optimal resource utilization.
• Incident and Problem Management: Lead incident response efforts, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and prevent recurrence of issues.
• Collaboration and Support: Work closely with development, DevOps, and security teams to align integration solutions with business objectives, provide technical guidance, and assist in resolving complex operational challenges.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures. Foster a culture of knowledge sharing through training sessions and mentorship of junior team members.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in administering OpenShift clusters, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with IBM Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4I) components, such as API Connect, App Connect, Event Streams, and MQ.
• Strong proficiency in containerization technologies, Kubernetes, and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Solid understanding of networking, security principles, and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications in OpenShift (e.g., Red Hat Certified Engineer), Kubernetes, or IBM CP4I are highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with hybrid cloud and multi-cloud integration strategies.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana, or IBM Cloud Monitoring.
• Knowledge of database technologies, such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or IBM Db2.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and tooling development.
