Key Responsibilities

As an IT Operations Specialist, your core responsibilities will include:

• System Monitoring and Maintenance: Continuously monitor the health, performance, and availability of enterprise systems, applications, servers, and networks to identify and address potential issues before they escalate. Conduct regular system health checks, perform backups, and execute access reviews to ensure compliance and security.
• Incident and Service Management: Serve as a first responder to operational incidents, service requests, and technical issues, ensuring timely resolution to minimize downtime and maintain business continuity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Infrastructure, DevOps, Security, and Application teams, to diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis: Provide hands-on support for troubleshooting efforts, contributing to in-depth root cause analysis to prevent recurrence of issues. Document findings and implement corrective actions to enhance system reliability and performance.
• Operational Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date operational documentation, including system inventories, process workflows, and incident reports. Ensure adherence to IT policies, security standards, and change management protocols to uphold operational integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Process Improvement and Collaboration: Actively participate in initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency, service reliability, and overall IT performance. Work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation, streamline workflows, and enhance the end-user experience.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Experience: A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in IT Operations, Infrastructure Support, Systems Administration, or a closely related role is essential. Prior exposure to enterprise IT environments, including servers, networking, and applications, is highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: A solid understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, operational processes, and best practices in incident management, monitoring, and troubleshooting is critical. Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools, change management processes, and operational documentation standards is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with excellent communication and coordination skills, are vital for collaborating effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
