Key Responsibilities

• Security Monitoring and Incident Response: Assist in monitoring security systems, analyzing alerts, and responding to potential security incidents in a timely manner. Collaborate with senior team members to investigate and mitigate security breaches or anomalies.
• Vulnerability Assessment and Risk Management: Support the identification and assessment of security vulnerabilities across networks, systems, and applications. Participate in risk analysis activities and contribute to the development of mitigation strategies to enhance our security framework.
• Security Policy Implementation: Aid in the enforcement of cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal security guidelines to maintain a secure operational environment.
• Security Tool Administration: Assist in the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint protection platforms, and SIEM solutions. Gain hands-on experience in managing and troubleshooting these critical security technologies.
• Security Awareness Training: Contribute to the development and delivery of cybersecurity awareness programs for employees. Help foster a culture of security consciousness within the organization to reduce human-related risks.
• Collaboration and Documentation: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, compliance, and legal departments, to ensure alignment on security initiatives. Maintain accurate records of security activities, incidents, and resolutions for reporting and audit purposes.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess a strong foundation in cybersecurity principles, supported by relevant academic qualifications or certifications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical proficiency, analytical thinking, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate are highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with networking concepts, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and security tools is essential. Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and experience with SIEM tools or vulnerability scanners is a plus.
• Analytical Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex security issues and propose effective solutions. Attention to detail is critical for identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Communication and Teamwork: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate security concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
