Key Responsibilities

The Senior Coordinator - Shipping will play a critical role in managing end-to-end shipping activities, from order processing to final delivery. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Logistics Management: Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of domestic and international shipments, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and regulatory requirements.
• Vendor & Carrier Relations: Establish and maintain strong partnerships with shipping vendors, carriers, and logistics providers to secure competitive rates, reliable services, and optimal shipping solutions.
• Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies within the shipping workflow and implement data-driven improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and elevate service quality.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of shipping coordinators, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all shipping activities comply with local and international regulations, including customs documentation, import/export laws, and safety standards. Maintain accurate records and reports for audit purposes.
• Customer Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing timely updates on shipment statuses, resolving escalations, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Technology Utilization: Leverage advanced shipping software, tracking systems, and ERP tools to monitor shipments, generate insights, and drive operational excellence.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CSCP, CLTD) are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in shipping coordination, logistics management, or a related discipline, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of shipping software (e.g., SAP TM, Oracle SCM), ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with customs clearance processes is advantageous.
• Analytical Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making and process improvement.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is preferred but not mandatory. Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
• Organizational Abilities: Proven track record in managing multiple priorities, meeting tight deadlines, and maintaining meticulous attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
