Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Leadership: Provide expert medical oversight for all clinical operations, including diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of sports-related injuries, musculoskeletal conditions, and performance enhancement programs. Ensure adherence to evidence-based medical practices and international standards of care.
• Strategic Development: Collaborate with executive leadership to define and execute the long-term vision for the Sports Medicine & Performance Center, aligning clinical services with Qiddiya’s broader healthcare and entertainment objectives.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of sports medicine physicians, physiotherapists, athletic trainers, and performance specialists. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Partnerships & Outreach: Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with professional sports teams, corporate wellness programs, academic institutions, and international sports medicine organizations to enhance the center’s reputation and service offerings.
• Quality Assurance: Implement robust quality assurance protocols, including patient safety initiatives, clinical audits, and performance metrics to ensure the highest standards of care and operational efficiency.
• Research & Innovation: Drive research initiatives focused on sports medicine, injury prevention, and performance optimization. Contribute to the advancement of medical knowledge through publications, presentations, and participation in industry conferences.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with local and international healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and ethical guidelines. Oversee licensing, credentialing, and ongoing professional development for all clinical staff.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Medical Degree: A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent qualification, with a specialization in Sports Medicine, Orthopedics, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, or a related field.
• Board Certification: Active board certification in Sports Medicine or a relevant specialty, with a minimum of 10 years of post-graduate clinical experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role within a sports medicine or performance center.
• Clinical Expertise: Proven track record in managing complex sports-related injuries, musculoskeletal disorders, and performance enhancement programs for athletes of all levels, from amateur to elite.
• Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, drive operational excellence, and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Strategic Mindset: Strong business acumen with the ability to align clinical services with organizational goals, identify growth opportunities, and develop long-term strategies for the center.
• Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including athletes, coaches, corporate clients, and healthcare partners.
• Research & Innovation: Commitment to advancing the field of sports medicine through research, publications, and participation in industry conferences. Experience in securing research grants or leading funded projects is a plus.
