BlueFiveSidra is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fund Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Riyadh. In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the accurate and timely accounting and financial reporting of our investment funds. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining the integrity of our financial operations while supporting strategic decision-making processes.

As a Fund Accountant at BlueFiveSidra, you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting functions, including the preparation of financial statements, reconciliation of fund accounts, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This position requires a strong understanding of fund accounting principles, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate closely with portfolio managers, auditors, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality financial insights and support the overall success of our investment funds.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and other applicable accounting standards. Ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Fund Accounting: Maintain detailed records of fund transactions, including subscriptions, redemptions, and distributions. Reconcile investment portfolios and ensure alignment with fund objectives.
• Compliance and Audit Support: Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits. Ensure adherence to local and international regulatory requirements, including SAMA and other relevant authorities.
• Investor Reporting: Generate and distribute investor reports, including capital account statements, performance metrics, and other financial disclosures. Communicate effectively with investors and stakeholders.
• Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flows, ensuring timely settlements and accurate recording of transactions. Collaborate with treasury and operations teams to optimize liquidity.
• Tax and Regulatory Filings: Prepare and file tax returns and regulatory reports in a timely manner. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and accounting regulations that may impact fund operations.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes, systems, and controls. Implement best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy in fund accounting operations.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional certification such as CPA, CFA, or ACCA is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in fund accounting, preferably within the investment management or asset servicing industry.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in fund accounting software (e.g., Advent Geneva, SS&C Eze, or similar) and strong Excel skills. Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
• Analytical Abilities: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to analyze complex financial data. Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to accuracy.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams, auditors, and investors.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of local and international financial regulations, including IFRS, GAAP, and SAMA guidelines.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
