Role Overview
As a Sales Specialist, Cardiovascular Informatics, META, you will play a pivotal role in driving the commercial success of Philips’ advanced cardiovascular informatics solutions across the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa (META) region. This position requires a dynamic professional with a strong background in medical technology sales, particularly in the cardiovascular domain, to engage with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, hospital administrators, and clinical decision-makers. Your primary responsibility will be to identify business opportunities, develop strategic sales plans, and execute targeted initiatives to promote Philips’ cutting-edge informatics platforms that enhance patient care, streamline workflows, and improve clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Development: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, competitive landscapes, and growth opportunities within the cardiovascular informatics sector across the META region. Develop and implement tailored sales strategies to capitalize on these insights, ensuring alignment with Philips’ business objectives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse network of stakeholders, including hospital executives, cardiologists, radiologists, IT professionals, and procurement teams. Act as a trusted advisor by demonstrating the clinical and operational benefits of Philips’ cardiovascular informatics solutions, fostering long-term partnerships.
- Solution Promotion: Showcase the value proposition of Philips’ cardiovascular informatics portfolio, which includes advanced software solutions for image management, reporting, and clinical decision support. Deliver compelling presentations, product demonstrations, and technical training to highlight the efficiency, accuracy, and integration capabilities of these solutions.
- Sales Execution: Drive revenue growth by meeting and exceeding sales targets through proactive prospecting, pipeline management, and deal closure. Collaborate closely with internal teams, such as marketing, product management, and customer support, to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives and customer satisfaction.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all sales activities and engagements adhere to local and international regulatory standards, including data privacy laws and medical device regulations. Stay updated on industry compliance requirements to mitigate risks and maintain the integrity of Philips’ operations.
- Customer Support & Feedback: Act as a liaison between customers and Philips’ product development teams to gather feedback, address concerns, and contribute to the continuous improvement of cardiovascular informatics solutions. Proactively identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities to maximize customer lifetime value.
- Training & Development: Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance your knowledge of Philips’ cardiovascular informatics portfolio, as well as industry advancements. Mentor junior team members and share best practices to elevate the performance of the regional sales team.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline. Advanced degrees or certifications in sales, healthcare informatics, or cardiovascular technology are highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive sales experience in the healthcare or medical technology sector, with a strong focus on cardiovascular solutions. Prior experience in selling informatics or software solutions within a clinical environment is a significant advantage.
- Technical Proficiency: In-depth understanding of cardiovascular informatics, including image management systems, PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System), RIS (Radiology Information System), and EMR (Electronic Medical Record) integration. Familiarity with medical imaging technologies and data analytics is beneficial.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders and influence decision-making processes. Strong analytical mindset with a results-driven approach to problem-solving.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in additional regional languages such as Arabic or Turkish is highly advantageous.
- Travel Requirements: This role requires frequent travel within the META region to meet with clients, attend industry events, and participate in training sessions. Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time is essential.
