Position Overview

The Junior Front-End Developer will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and maintenance of modern web applications and user interfaces. Collaborating closely with seasoned developers, designers, and product teams, you will assist in building responsive, accessible, and visually compelling digital experiences while expanding your technical skill set. This role is perfectly suited for early-career professionals, recent graduates, or individuals with hands-on experience through internships, freelance work, or personal projects, who are eager to establish a strong foundation in front-end development.

Key Responsibilities

Front-End Development

• Develop responsive, mobile-friendly web pages using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript to ensure optimal user engagement across devices.
• Assist in constructing reusable UI components and interactive interfaces to enhance development efficiency and consistency.
• Transform UI/UX design mockups into clean, functional, and responsive web applications that align with user expectations.
• Optimize websites and applications for speed, performance, and usability to deliver seamless digital experiences.
• Conduct thorough testing to ensure compatibility across modern browsers and devices, addressing any discrepancies promptly.

Application Maintenance

• Diagnose and resolve front-end issues and performance bottlenecks to maintain application integrity.
• Support the maintenance and enhancement of existing web applications to ensure long-term functionality.
• Collaborate on the implementation of new features and improvements to elevate user experience.
• Perform routine code updates and maintenance tasks to uphold system reliability and security.

Collaboration

• Work in tandem with UI/UX designers, back-end developers, and product managers to align development efforts with project goals.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to foster a collaborative and iterative development process.
• Contribute to code reviews and team discussions to promote best practices and continuous improvement.
• Communicate progress, challenges, and technical solutions clearly and effectively to stakeholders at all levels.

Code Quality

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to industry standards and development best practices.
• Follow version control procedures to ensure seamless collaboration and code integrity.
• Engage in testing, quality assurance, and bug-fixing activities to uphold high standards of product excellence.
• Continuously refine coding skills through mentorship, feedback, and self-directed learning initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 0–2 years of experience in front-end development or web development.
• Internship, freelance, academic, or personal project experience is highly encouraged.
• Solid understanding of responsive web design principles and their practical applications.
• Proficiency in Git version control to manage and track code changes effectively.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Basic experience with front-end frameworks such as React.js, Vue.js, or Angular.
• Familiarity with responsive CSS frameworks like Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS to streamline development.
• Understanding of REST APIs and JSON for seamless data integration and communication.
• Working knowledge of browser developer tools and debugging techniques to troubleshoot issues efficiently.
• Awareness of responsive design principles, web accessibility standards, and cross-browser compatibility best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing personal, academic, or portfolio web projects to showcase technical abilities.
• Familiarity with TypeScript for enhanced code maintainability and scalability.
• Basic understanding of state management libraries such as Redux, Context API, or Pinia.
• Experience collaborating with design tools like Figma to translate design concepts into functional interfaces.
