Role Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Financial Controller to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy of our organization. Key Responsibilities

The Financial Controller will be responsible for a wide range of financial functions, including but not limited to:

• Financial Reporting and Compliance: Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring full compliance with local and international accounting standards, including IFRS. Maintain accurate and reconciled general ledger records, including detailed accruals and prepayments, while adhering to Group and local financial policies.
• Strategic Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to interpret cash flows, predict future trends, and assess the financial performance of the business in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). Provide strategic recommendations to senior management to support informed decision-making and long-term business planning.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions as necessary.
• Tax and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with local VAT regulations, tax obligations, and governmental reporting requirements. Stay abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation across all operating jurisdictions, implementing necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.
• Transaction Advisory and Due Diligence: Support acquisition projects by conducting financial valuations, due diligence, and risk assessments. Analyze financial data to evaluate potential investments and strategic opportunities.
• Process Improvement and Efficiency: Continuously review and enhance financial processes, systems, and controls to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and improve accuracy. Recommend and implement best practices to optimize financial operations and reporting.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing clear, objective, and authoritative financial insights. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including insurance providers, to resolve financial discrepancies and ensure timely remittances in accordance with company policies.
• Technology and Systems: Utilize the company’s global reporting system, OneStream, to produce accurate and timely financial reports. Maintain proficiency in financial software, including Praktora, and leverage advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivots, macros) to enhance financial analysis and modeling.

Key Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as CPA, CFA, or ACCA are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive experience in financial management, with a preference for candidates with a background in the insurance industry or corporate finance. Experience in transaction advisory services is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of financial management principles, accounting practices, and sector-specific regulations. Proficiency in financial analysis, modeling, and strategic planning. Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial software such as Praktora and OneStream.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. High integrity and a commitment to professional ethics and confidentiality.
