Key Responsibilities

• Category Strategy & Procurement: Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies and procurement plans tailored to the fresh food segment. Align product assortment with market trends and consumer demand to enhance sales performance and profitability.
• Market & Consumer Insights: Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, competitive landscapes, and consumer preferences to refine product offerings and drive informed decision-making.
• Supply Chain Management: Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including supplier relationship management, procurement negotiations, cost control, and optimization of supply channels to ensure product availability and quality.
• Inventory & Promotional Strategy: Monitor inventory levels and product turnover rates, develop data-driven promotional strategies to boost sales velocity, and minimize waste while maintaining optimal stock levels.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with procurement, logistics, marketing, and sales teams to synchronize efforts, ensure product quality, and execute market promotions that resonate with target audiences.
• Regulatory Compliance & Industry Trends: Stay abreast of evolving industry regulations, policies, and emerging trends to ensure full compliance and continuously refine procurement and operational processes for enhanced efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing, supply chain management, food science, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in category management or procurement within the fresh food industry, with a preference for roles in retail, quick commerce (Q-commerce), e-commerce, supermarkets, or hypermarkets.
• Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of market dynamics, supply chain systems, and category management methodologies specific to the fresh food sector.
• Analytical & Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to analyze data, derive actionable insights, and negotiate effectively with suppliers to secure favorable terms and drive cost efficiencies.
• Communication & Leadership: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of coordinating cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders at all levels.
