Role Overview

As a Merchandiser at PepsiCo, you will play a pivotal role in maximizing the on-shelf presence of our products in retail outlets. Your responsibilities will include executing in-store merchandising activities, ensuring compliance with planograms, and maintaining high standards of product freshness and presentation. This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about delivering exceptional results in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with the sales team to gather market insights and support promotional activities, contributing to the overall success of our brands.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily Merchandising: Visit assigned retail outlets as per your daily journey plan to merchandise PepsiCo products, including SSFL products, in various access points such as shelves, stands, and floor displays.
• Planogram Compliance: Ensure all access points are merchandised according to approved planograms, maintaining optimal product placement and visibility.
• Product Management: Rotate products using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method to ensure freshness, and remove any sub-standard or expired products from the shelves.
• POS Material Placement: Strategically place point-of-sale (POS) materials next to PepsiCo displays to enhance brand visibility and drive sales.
• Market Intelligence: Monitor and report competitive activities, deviations from agreed terms with customers, and any market opportunities to your supervisor or pre-seller.
• Promotional Support: Participate in sampling and redemption campaigns, as well as other promotional activities, to engage consumers and boost product trial.
• Reporting and Communication: Submit daily activity reports to your supervisor, detailing the prior day’s merchandising tasks and any relevant observations.
• Professional Conduct: Maintain a clean and professional appearance, adhering to PepsiCo’s code of conduct and fostering a positive image of the company in all interactions.

Performance Metrics

Your success in this role will be measured by your ability to meet key performance indicators, including:

• Execution Standard: Consistently achieving high standards in merchandising and product presentation.
• LTA Enforcement: Ensuring compliance with long-term agreements and planograms to maintain brand integrity.
• Journey Plan Adherence: Effectively managing your daily route and completing assigned tasks within the allocated time.

Qualifications and Competencies

• Experience: Prior experience in merchandising, retail, or sales is advantageous but not mandatory; a strong service orientation and willingness to learn are essential.
• Driving License: A valid driving license is required to travel to assigned retail outlets.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with retail partners and team members.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and retail staff.
• Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure products are merchandised correctly and displays are visually appealing.
