Key Responsibilities

The Merchandiser plays a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal on-shelf presence of PepsiCo products in all assigned outlets. This position is integral to maintaining brand visibility, driving sales, and enhancing customer engagement. The primary responsibilities include:

• Maximizing On-Shelf Presence: Execute daily merchandising activities to ensure products are prominently displayed in accordance with approved planograms for both on-shelf and off-shelf displays. Adherence to planograms is critical to maintaining consistency and maximizing sales opportunities.
• In-Store Execution: Conduct routine visits to specific outlets as outlined in the daily journey plan provided by your supervisor. Merchandise PepsiCo products in various access points, including shelves, stands, and floor displays, ensuring they are clean, fresh, and well-stocked.
• Product Management: Rotate products using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method to maintain freshness and quality. Remove sub-standard or expired products to uphold brand integrity and customer satisfaction.
• Point-of-Sale (POS) Materials: Place POS materials strategically next to PepsiCo displays to enhance brand visibility and drive consumer engagement. Ensure all materials are clean, intact, and positioned correctly.
• Competitive Monitoring: Track and report competitive activities within assigned outlets. Provide timely updates to your supervisor to capitalize on selling opportunities and address any deviations from agreed terms with customers or outlets.
• Sampling and Promotions: Participate in in-store sampling sessions and promotional campaigns as required. Engage with customers to create memorable brand experiences and drive product trial.
• Reporting and Communication: Submit daily activity reports to your supervisor, detailing the prior day’s merchandising activities, stock levels, and any issues encountered. Maintain open and transparent communication to ensure alignment with team goals and objectives.
• Professional Conduct: Uphold PepsiCo’s code of conduct by maintaining a professional appearance and behavior at all times. Represent the company with integrity and enthusiasm in every interaction.

Key Performance Measures

Success in this role will be evaluated based on the following key performance indicators:

• Execution Standard: Consistently meet or exceed merchandising standards to ensure optimal product placement and availability.
• LTA Enforcement: Adhere to and enforce Local Trade Agreements (LTA) to maintain compliance with PepsiCo’s policies and customer agreements.
• Journey Plan Adherence: Follow the daily journey plan with precision to maximize efficiency and coverage across assigned outlets.

Qualifications and Competencies

• Valid Driving License: Possess a valid driver’s license to travel to assigned outlets as per the daily journey plan.
