Electrical Supervisor

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our dynamic team at Hilton in Mecca. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and manage all electrical operations within the facility, ensuring compliance with safety standards, operational efficiency, and exceptional service delivery. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in electrical systems, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism in a hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and lead a team of electricians and technical staff, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure timely completion of all electrical projects.
• System Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Oversee the inspection, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, power distribution, and backup systems. Diagnose issues, implement corrective actions, and ensure minimal disruption to hotel operations.
• Compliance & Safety: Enforce strict adherence to local and international electrical safety regulations, including NEC, OSHA, and Hilton’s internal standards. Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and training sessions to mitigate hazards and promote a secure working environment.
• Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute electrical projects, from minor repairs to major installations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, facilities, and procurement, to align projects with operational and budgetary requirements.
• Budget & Resource Management: Develop and manage the electrical department’s budget, including procurement of materials, equipment, and tools. Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
• Guest & Staff Safety: Prioritize the safety and comfort of guests and staff by ensuring all electrical systems are fully functional and compliant. Respond promptly to emergencies, conduct emergency drills, and implement preventive measures to avoid incidents.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all electrical activities, including maintenance logs, work orders, and compliance reports. Provide regular updates to management on system performance, project status, and potential risks.
• Vendor & Contractor Coordination: Liaise with external vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., Certified Electrical Inspector, NEMA) are advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in electrical supervision or management, preferably within the hospitality, commercial, or industrial sectors. Experience in large-scale facilities or luxury hotels is highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, including HVAC controls, fire alarm systems, and energy management systems. Familiarity with CAD software, electrical schematics, and diagnostic tools is essential.
• Leadership & Communication: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management and external partners.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex electrical issues efficiently. A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Language Skills: Fluency in English and Arabic is required. Additional languages are a plus.
• Certifications: Valid electrical supervisor license or certification as per local regulations. First Aid and CPR certifications are preferred.
