About the Role
As a Materials Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing procurement strategies that enhance organizational value, optimize cost efficiency, and ensure seamless operational performance. Key Responsibilities

- Procurement Planning and Execution: Participate in the development and execution of procurement plans that support overarching business objectives, operational excellence, and long-term sustainability.
- Compliance and Standards Adherence: Ensure strict adherence to procurement policies, industry regulations, and organizational standards to mitigate risks and maintain operational integrity.
- Supplier Evaluation and Negotiation: Assess supplier quotations based on technical specifications, quality benchmarks, cost-effectiveness, and delivery timelines, while negotiating favorable terms to secure competitive pricing and reliable supply chains.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to elevate service levels, foster innovation, and mitigate potential risks.
- Cost Optimization and Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for cost reduction, value engineering, and process enhancements to drive operational efficiency and financial performance.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain meticulous records of supplier engagements, material specifications, and procurement activities to ensure transparency, accountability, and compliance.
- Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor supplier performance to ensure strict adherence to contractual obligations, quality standards, and delivery commitments.
- Best Practices Implementation: Champion the adoption of industry-leading procurement methodologies and systems to elevate the efficiency and effectiveness of procurement operations.

Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, you must possess a minimum of 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience as a Procurement Engineer or Materials Engineer, with a strong preference for candidates with expertise in civil and architectural materials. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of engineering principles, material properties, and technical specifications, coupled with a proven ability to evaluate both technical and commercial aspects of supplier proposals.
