Key Responsibilities

The Lead Technical Assistant will be responsible for a wide range of duties to support the technical and operational needs of the hospital. The primary responsibilities include:

• Project Coordination: Oversee and manage technical projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Act as a liaison between technical teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership to facilitate smooth communication and alignment.
• Technical Support: Provide expert-level technical assistance to internal teams, including troubleshooting complex issues, implementing solutions, and ensuring the optimal performance of technical systems and equipment. This includes maintaining and updating documentation related to technical processes and procedures.

• Process Optimization: Analyze existing technical processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement. Develop and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce operational costs, and elevate service quality across the organization.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure strict adherence to regulatory standards, safety protocols, and hospital policies. Collaborate with compliance officers to conduct audits, risk assessments, and training sessions to maintain a secure and compliant work environment.
• Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors, suppliers, and service providers. Negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services to support hospital operations.
• Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate project statuses, technical insights, and performance metrics to senior management. Maintain accurate records of all technical activities and ensure data integrity.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess a combination of technical expertise, leadership acumen, and exceptional interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Healthcare Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications in project management or technical disciplines are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in technical support, project management, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity. Experience within the healthcare sector is preferred but not mandatory.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of technical systems, including IT infrastructure, medical equipment, and healthcare technologies. Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA) and technical documentation software is essential.
• Leadership and Communication: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage conflicts, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Strong presentation and negotiation skills are required to influence decision-making and drive organizational goals.
• Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with the ability to identify root causes of technical issues and develop innovative solutions. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous learning are critical.
• Language Skills: Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Arabic is a strong advantage.
