The Opportunity

As the Supply Chain Lead for Roche Diagnostics Saudi Arabia, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic supply chain agenda for the region. Reporting to the Saudi Arabia Leadership Team (SALT) and collaborating closely with the Middle East Supply Chain Leadership Team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing an end-to-end supply chain model that delivers commercial value, enhances customer loyalty, and strengthens organizational resilience. This role goes beyond traditional operational responsibilities—it requires you to navigate complex stakeholder dynamics, align regional priorities with global objectives, and champion initiatives that foster long-term growth and efficiency.

Your Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic and influential position, you will:

• Strategic Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement: Actively contribute to and influence decision-making forums, building coalitions and consensus to drive initiatives in a matrixed environment. Navigate complex stakeholder dynamics with diplomacy, balancing conflicting interests while translating organizational risks and constraints into strategic influence. Foster confidence through proactive, transparent communication on strategic initiatives before they are formally requested by stakeholders.
• Supply Chain Strategy and Operations: Develop and execute an in-country supply chain strategy that aligns with regional and global goals. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and drive continuous improvement. Collaborate with integrated planning teams to optimize inventory levels for spare parts, instruments, and reagents, ensuring operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Third-Party Logistics (3PL) Management: Oversee 3PL supply chain activities to ensure timely and accurate completion of logistics operations. Coordinate inbound, outbound, and returns processes with 3PL partners, while developing and monitoring their performance to meet Roche’s stringent quality standards. Collaborate with 3PLs to resolve operational issues and implement improvements that enhance service delivery.
• Digital Transformation and Innovation: Partner with the digital solutions and consultancy team to drive automation and digitalization projects that streamline supply chain processes and improve operational agility. Leverage data-driven insights to inform strategic recommendations for commercial teams, enabling informed decision-making and sustainable growth.
• Order Management and Warehousing: Lead the order management and warehousing teams to ensure efficient operations and on-time deliveries. Analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and develop actionable plans to enhance service quality and customer satisfaction.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure strict adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and Roche’s ethical standards. Participate in warehouse quality audits and certification processes to maintain compliance and uphold the highest standards of operational excellence.
• Customer-Centric Approach: Identify and address customer needs with clarity and precision, resolving issues efficiently to exceed expectations. Build and maintain positive customer relationships through active listening, empathy, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. Gather and act on customer feedback to drive continuous improvement in products, services, and internal processes.
• Team Leadership and Development: Create a motivating and inclusive work environment that attracts, engages, and retains top talent. Hire, develop, and manage employees and third-party partners responsible for local operations. Delegate tasks effectively, foster team decision-making, and promote open communication. Your Profile

To excel in this role, you will bring the following qualifications and experience:

• Education and Experience: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, IT, or a related field. A minimum of 10 years of progressive supply chain experience, including 5 to 8 years in a leadership role, with a proven track record of ensuring robust supply chain governance and a strong network within internal and external supply chain communities.
• Technical Expertise and Entrepreneurial Mindset: Deep technical knowledge in warehousing, 3PL management, supply chain quality standards, and Saudi regulations. The ability to combine this expertise with an entrepreneurial mindset to translate complex data into high-impact, commercially viable recommendations.
• Leadership and People Management: Demonstrated experience in leading and developing high-performing teams, including performance management, employee development, and talent retention strategies. A commitment to fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
