Job Title: Accountant

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic team at My Tyre Auto Service Centre in Riyadh. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing strategic insights to support the company’s financial health and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting principles, exceptional analytical skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality financial services.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local regulations.
• General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions. Post journal entries and verify the integrity of financial data.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice verification, payment processing, and collections. Ensure timely and accurate settlements to maintain strong vendor and customer relationships.
• Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns, including VAT, income tax, and other statutory obligations, while ensuring full compliance with Saudi tax laws and regulations. Liaise with tax authorities as needed to resolve any discrepancies or inquiries.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Analyze variances and provide recommendations to optimize resource allocation and cost efficiency.
• Internal Controls: Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks. Conduct periodic audits and reviews to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Payroll Processing: Collaborate with the HR department to process payroll accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
• Financial Analysis: Perform in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Present actionable insights to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
• Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors during annual financial audits. Provide necessary documentation and explanations to facilitate a smooth and efficient audit process.
• System & Process Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements to accounting systems, software, and processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the automotive or service industry. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and accounting software. Strong knowledge of local tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
• Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in Arabic and English, both written and verbal, is essential. Additional languages are a valuable asset.
