Key Responsibilities

• Product Expertise: Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of Smith & Nephew’s product portfolio, including surgical instruments, advanced wound care solutions, and orthopedic implants. Stay abreast of industry trends, clinical evidence, and competitive landscapes to effectively position our offerings.
• Customer Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to healthcare professionals, including surgeons, clinicians, and hospital administrators. Deliver tailored product demonstrations, conduct training sessions, and provide ongoing support to ensure optimal product utilization and patient care.
• Sales Support: Collaborate closely with the sales team to identify business opportunities, address customer inquiries, and facilitate the adoption of new products. Prepare and present technical presentations, case studies, and clinical data to support sales initiatives.
• Market Intelligence: Monitor market dynamics, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify emerging trends and unmet needs. Provide actionable insights to the leadership team to inform strategic decision-making.
• Compliance and Training: Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, company policies, and ethical guidelines in all customer interactions. Organize and conduct training programs for internal teams and external stakeholders to enhance product knowledge and operational efficiency.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work seamlessly with R&D, marketing, logistics, and supply chain teams to align product strategies with market demands. Participate in product launches, trade shows, and industry events to amplify brand visibility and engagement.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, or Business Administration. Advanced degrees or certifications in medical technology are a plus.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a product specialist, clinical specialist, or sales support role within the medical device or healthcare industry.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to explain complex medical products in a clear and concise manner. Familiarity with surgical procedures, wound care, or orthopedic implants is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools. Experience with sales enablement platforms is a valuable asset.
• Willingness to travel within the region as needed to support customer engagements and business development activities.
