Job Overview

WSP is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior ELV/ICT Engineer to join our dynamic team in Riyadh. In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in designing, implementing, and managing advanced Extra Low Voltage (ELV) and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems for a wide range of infrastructure projects. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless integration of cutting-edge technologies that enhance operational efficiency, security, and connectivity across diverse project portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior ELV/ICT Engineer, your core responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of technical and leadership duties, including:

• System Design and Planning: Develop comprehensive designs for ELV and ICT systems, including fire alarm systems, CCTV surveillance, access control, structured cabling, network infrastructure, and telecommunication systems. Ensure designs comply with international standards and local regulations.
• Project Leadership: Lead the technical execution of ELV/ICT projects from inception to completion, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, MEP engineers, and project managers. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and technicians to foster a culture of excellence.
• Technical Specifications and Documentation: Prepare detailed technical specifications, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and tender documents to facilitate procurement and implementation. Review and approve shop drawings, as-built drawings, and technical submittals to ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Quality Assurance and Compliance: Conduct rigorous quality checks and audits to ensure all ELV/ICT systems meet performance benchmarks, safety standards, and contractual obligations. Stay abreast of industry advancements and regulatory changes to incorporate best practices into project deliverables.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a primary technical liaison with clients, contractors, and vendors to resolve issues, address concerns, and ensure timely project delivery. Present technical proposals, progress reports, and solutions to stakeholders with clarity and professionalism.
• Innovation and Sustainability: Drive the adoption of innovative technologies and sustainable practices in ELV/ICT systems to enhance energy efficiency, reduce operational costs, and minimize environmental impact. Evaluate emerging trends such as IoT, smart building solutions, and cloud-based systems to future-proof infrastructure.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCNA, or BICSI) are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in ELV/ICT engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership capacity.
• Proven expertise in designing and delivering complex ELV/ICT systems for large-scale infrastructure projects, including commercial buildings, airports, hospitals, or data centers.
• In-depth knowledge of industry standards such as NFPA, BS, ISO, and local Saudi regulations (e.g., SASO, GSO).
• Proficiency in industry-standard software tools, including AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, and BIM 360, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and project management abilities, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
