Accountant

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our finance team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL) functions. Your contributions will be instrumental in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with internal policies and statutory regulations, and supporting the organization’s financial health through meticulous reporting and reconciliation processes.

Key Responsibilities

The Accountant will play a critical role in managing financial transactions and ensuring the integrity of our financial systems. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Accounts Payable & Receivable Management: Oversee monthly AP and AR transactions to facilitate timely payments to vendors and collections from clients. Investigate and resolve discrepancies to maintain strong vendor and client relationships.
• General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and update the General Ledger by preparing and posting journal entries in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure all financial schedules are up-to-date and compliant with accounting standards.
• Bank Reconciliations & Inter-Company Accounts: Conduct thorough bank reconciliations and maintain accurate inter-company account schedules to ensure financial consistency across the organization.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Monitor and review accounting reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports to support informed decision-making.
• Month-End Closing Support: Collaborate with the finance team to execute month-end closing procedures efficiently. Assist in tax computations and ensure timely filing of tax returns to meet regulatory deadlines.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 1–2 years of relevant professional experience in accounting or finance, with exposure to AP, AR, or GL functions preferred.
• A strong foundation in accounting principles and financial processes, including GAAP or IFRS standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with advanced skills in data analysis, pivot tables, and financial modeling.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
