Key Responsibilities

The Cybersecurity Specialist will play a pivotal role in protecting our enterprise systems by performing a wide range of security-related duties, including:

• Security Technology Administration: Manage, configure, and maintain a comprehensive suite of cybersecurity tools, including Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Network Detection and Response (NDR), Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Identity and Access Management (IAM), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Network Access Control (NAC), Proxy Security, Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Endpoint Protection, Email Security, Firewall Management, and Vulnerability Management platforms.
• Policy and Configuration Management: Conduct policy tuning, rule updates, and secure configuration management to enhance the effectiveness of security controls and align them with organizational objectives.
• Security Integration Support: Facilitate the seamless integration of security tools with enterprise systems to ensure continuous monitoring, threat detection, and incident response capabilities.
• Security Hardening: Perform security hardening activities for servers, endpoints, and network devices, adhering to industry standards and best practices to minimize vulnerabilities.
• Access and Identity Management: Conduct access reviews, support IAM processes, and manage privileged access to ensure secure and compliant access to critical systems.
• Asset Onboarding and Compliance: Oversee the onboarding of new assets and ensure the deployment of appropriate security controls to maintain compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor the health and performance of security platforms, proactively troubleshoot operational issues, and ensure uninterrupted service availability.
• Patch and Change Validation: Validate security patches and configuration changes to confirm compliance with security policies and mitigate potential risks.
• Vulnerability Management: Support vulnerability management activities, including remediation tracking, risk assessment, and security optimization to reduce exposure to threats.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of security operations, platform performance, and the overall cybersecurity posture through innovation and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CISSP, or equivalent are highly desirable and will be considered a strong asset.
• A minimum of three years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, with a proven track record in administering and managing enterprise security technologies.
• Demonstrated expertise in security operations, threat detection, incident response, and risk mitigation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues efficiently.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
