Production Supervisor

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee and optimize our bakery production operations. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless daily production activities across multiple bakery lines and shifts while maintaining the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and compliance. Your leadership will drive production targets, minimize downtime, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within our team.

Key Responsibilities

The Production Supervisor will play a critical role in maintaining operational excellence by overseeing the entire production process, from raw material preparation to the final dispatch of finished goods. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Production Management: Supervise daily production activities to ensure that volume, quality, yield, and efficiency targets are consistently met across all assigned bakery production lines and shifts.
• Process Monitoring: Oversee production processes, including raw material preparation, mixing, fermentation, forming, baking, cooling, slicing, packaging, and dispatch, ensuring adherence to established standards and procedures.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor line performance metrics such as production output, downtime, waste, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance efficiency.
• Team Leadership: Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of production operators, line leaders, and workers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Allocate manpower based on production demands and line capacity to ensure optimal resource utilization.
• Shift Coordination: Facilitate smooth shift handover processes and maintain effective communication between production teams to ensure continuity and alignment with production goals.
• Compliance and Safety: Uphold strict adherence to HACCP, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols. Ensure compliance with company Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies as well as Saudi Arabian health and safety regulations.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor critical production parameters, including dough temperature, mixing time, proofing conditions, baking temperature and time, product weight, and moisture levels, to guarantee consistent product quality.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive lean manufacturing initiatives and participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimize production processes.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you will possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Food Technology, Food Science, Bakery Technology, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in production operations, with a preference for candidates with a background in large-scale industrial bakery environments.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of industrial bakery processes and automated production lines, along with familiarity with HACCP, GMP, food safety, and hygiene standards.
• Analytical Skills: Proficiency in tracking and analyzing production Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), OEE metrics, and lean manufacturing principles to drive operational improvements.
• Leadership Abilities: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve production targets and organizational goals.
