Storekeeper

Position Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Storekeeper to join our operations team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing warehouse and store operations, ensuring the seamless flow of goods while maintaining optimal inventory levels. Your expertise in inventory management and coordination with logistics teams will be instrumental in supporting our operational objectives and driving efficiency across our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory Management: Oversee day-to-day warehouse and store operations, ensuring accurate receipt, inspection, and recording of incoming shipments against purchase orders.
• Stock Control: Maintain precise inventory records using advanced inventory management systems, organizing and storing goods to maximize space utilization and accessibility.
• Replenishment Coordination: Monitor stock levels vigilantly and coordinate with procurement teams to prevent shortages or overstocking, ensuring uninterrupted supply chain operations.
• Physical Audits: Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies to uphold inventory accuracy and compliance with organizational standards.
• Logistics Collaboration: Work closely with logistics and procurement teams to facilitate the seamless movement of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to safety protocols.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and storage of items in accordance with safety and quality standards, mitigating risks and maintaining operational integrity.
• Reporting & Improvement: Prepare and maintain detailed reports on inventory status, stock movement, and discrepancies, while identifying opportunities for process improvements to enhance store efficiency and productivity.
• Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and insights, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Education: A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience in logistics and inventory management systems, with a strong understanding of warehouse operations and stock control.
• Technical Proficiency: Ability to operate warehouse equipment and inventory software with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
• Organizational Skills: Exceptional record-keeping and organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal and coordination skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to inventory management, ensuring accuracy in all records and processes.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications will be advantageous:

• Prior experience in a warehouse, store, or distribution center environment.
• Familiarity with barcode scanning and warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Knowledge of safety and compliance standards for storage and handling.
