We are seeking a seasoned and visionary Quality Director to spearhead the development, implementation, and oversight of a robust Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) framework for our large-scale infrastructure and earthworks projects. In this pivotal leadership role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all site preparation, mass excavation, filling, and construction activities adhere rigorously to contract specifications, international engineering standards, and local regulatory requirements. Your expertise will be instrumental in safeguarding project integrity, minimizing risks, and delivering outcomes that exceed client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
As the Quality Director, you will play a central role in shaping and executing the Project Quality Management System (PQMS) across all phases of infrastructure and earthworks development. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Quality Leadership: Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive PQMS that aligns with project objectives, industry best practices, and compliance mandates.
- Team Direction & Oversight: Lead and mentor QA/QC teams, laboratory testing operations, and field inspection personnel to ensure rigorous adherence to quality standards during earthworks, soil compaction, and material approval processes.
- Quality Standardization & Compliance: Establish and enforce stringent quality standards, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and non-conformance management protocols to proactively identify and resolve deviations before they escalate.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison between clients, consultants, project directors, and regulatory authorities to facilitate seamless communication, resolve quality-related concerns, and ensure full compliance with contractual and statutory obligations.
- Continuous Improvement & Risk Mitigation: Champion a culture of quality excellence by driving continuous improvement initiatives, conducting internal and external audits, and implementing proactive measures to mitigate quality-related operational risks.
Qualifications & Requirements
To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and professional attributes:
- Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a closely related discipline. A certification as an ISO Lead Auditor will be considered a significant advantage.
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 12 to 15 years of progressive quality leadership experience, with a proven track record in large-scale infrastructure, mass earthworks, and civil construction projects.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of soil mechanics, geotechnical testing methodologies, and familiarity with international standards such as ASTM, AASHTO, and ISO, as well as local regulatory specifications.
- Leadership & Strategic Acumen: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, develop strategic quality plans, and manage audit processes with precision and foresight.
If you are a results-driven quality professional with a passion for excellence and a commitment to upholding the highest standards in infrastructure development, we invite you to apply and contribute to the success of our transformative projects.
