Compressor Mechanic

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Compressor Mechanic to join our team and ensure the optimal performance of our industrial compressor systems and associated mechanical equipment. In this critical role, you will be responsible for executing preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities to uphold the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our plant operations. Your expertise will be instrumental in minimizing downtime, extending equipment lifespan, and maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Preventive and Corrective Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, servicing, and repairs on industrial compressors and related mechanical systems to prevent failures and ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Diagnostics and Troubleshooting: Accurately identify mechanical faults and performance issues through systematic analysis, root cause determination, and diagnostic testing to implement effective solutions.
• Overhaul and Repair: Perform comprehensive overhauls on compressors and associated components, including disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly to restore full operational capacity.
• Component Replacement and Alignment: Replace worn or damaged parts such as bearings, seals, valves, and couplings, and ensure precise alignment of mechanical components to maintain system integrity and efficiency.
• Shutdown Maintenance Participation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams during planned plant shutdowns to execute critical maintenance tasks, enhance system reliability, and support long-term operational goals.
• Safety and Compliance Adherence: Strictly follow established safety protocols, maintenance standards, and regulatory requirements to safeguard personnel, equipment, and the environment.

Qualifications and Experience

• Educational Background: A Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent professional certification.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of three years of hands-on experience in compressor maintenance, with a proven track record in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining industrial compressor systems.
• Industry Preference: Prior experience in cement plants, power generation facilities, or other heavy industrial environments is highly advantageous, as it demonstrates familiarity with high-capacity mechanical systems and demanding operational conditions.
