Asset Management Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Asset Management Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for configuring, operating, and optimizing our Asset Management Systems (AMS), including Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) platforms. Your expertise in BIM (Building Information Modeling) data conversion, particularly at Level of Development (LOD) 500, will be instrumental in transforming raw data into structured, actionable asset registers that drive operational efficiency and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• System Configuration and Operation: Implement, configure, and maintain Asset Management Systems (AMS), CAFM, and CMMS to ensure seamless integration with existing workflows and business processes. This includes setting up user roles, permissions, and system workflows to align with organizational objectives.
• BIM Data Conversion: Lead the conversion of BIM data, specifically at LOD 500, into comprehensive and structured asset registers. Your role will involve validating data accuracy, ensuring consistency with industry standards, and preparing datasets for seamless integration into asset management platforms.
• Asset Hierarchy Management: Develop and maintain detailed asset hierarchies that reflect the organization’s infrastructure, facilities, and equipment. This includes categorizing assets, defining relationships between components, and ensuring alignment with organizational asset management strategies.
• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) Scheduling: Design, implement, and monitor PPM schedules to proactively address maintenance needs, reduce downtime, and extend asset lifecycles. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure schedules are both practical and aligned with operational priorities.
• Performance Reporting and Analytics: Generate periodic reports on asset performance, maintenance activities, and system utilization. Utilize data analytics to identify trends, optimize resource allocation, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you will bring a minimum of 5–7 years of hands-on experience in Asset Management Systems, CAFM, or CMMS environments. A strong background in BIM data conversion, particularly at LOD 500, is essential, along with a proven ability to structure and manage complex asset hierarchies. Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 55000 for asset management and experience with data migration projects will be highly advantageous.

Ideal candidates will possess exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proficiency in data visualization tools and asset management software platforms is required, and experience with industry-leading solutions such as IBM Maximo, SAP PM, or similar systems is preferred.
