Position Overview
NAVIX is seeking a seasoned Logistics Accountant to oversee the company’s financial operations with a specialized focus on logistics, fulfillment, warehousing, and last-mile delivery. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of our accounting processes while supporting the dynamic financial needs of our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in logistics accounting, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage complex financial transactions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
The Logistics Accountant will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of the organization by executing a wide range of accounting and financial management tasks. The core responsibilities include:
- Accounts Payable and Receivable Management: Oversee the processing, reconciliation, and settlement of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments to suppliers, delivery partners, and subcontractors while maintaining accurate records of customer collections.
- Cash Flow Oversight: Monitor daily cash flow activities and develop short- and medium-term cash flow forecasts to support strategic financial planning and decision-making.
- Reconciliation and Settlement: Perform detailed reconciliations of customer collections, cash-on-delivery (COD) amounts, bank accounts, point-of-sale (POS) settlements, and payment gateway transactions to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
- Invoice Review and Reconciliation: Scrutinize and reconcile invoices from delivery partners, warehouse providers, suppliers, and subcontractors to validate charges and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
- Client Billing and Collection: Prepare and issue client statements, ensuring accurate and timely billing while managing collections to optimize cash flow and reduce outstanding receivables.
- Revenue and Cost Tracking: Analyze revenue, direct costs, and profitability metrics by client, service type, and shipment to provide actionable insights for operational and strategic improvements.
- Operational Expense Management: Administer operational advances, employee expenses, petty cash, and supplier payments, ensuring adherence to company policies and financial controls.
- Financial Reporting and Compliance: Maintain precise accounting records and support the monthly and quarterly financial closing processes. Prepare and submit VAT reports in compliance with ZATCA regulations to ensure full adherence to Saudi tax laws.
- Process Development: Design and implement robust financial controls and reconciliation procedures tailored to the unique demands of logistics and fulfillment operations, enhancing efficiency and reducing financial risks.
- Management Reporting: Generate comprehensive management reports that provide insights into cash position, accounts receivable, accounts payable, revenue trends, cost structures, and profitability metrics to support executive decision-making.
Requirements
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and possess the necessary skills and experience:
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of three years of hands-on accounting experience, with a preference for candidates who have worked in logistics, third-party logistics (3PL), fulfillment, warehousing, transportation, or last-mile delivery sectors.
- Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of cash flow management, COD reconciliation, client settlements, and supplier account management. Strong expertise in Microsoft Excel and proficiency with accounting software systems are essential.
- Regulatory Knowledge: A solid understanding of Saudi VAT regulations and ZATCA compliance requirements to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English are required to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with direct experience in logistics accounting, fulfillment operations, or last-mile delivery reconciliation will be given priority consideration.
