Position Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Inspector to join our team, where quality assurance and precision are paramount. In this critical role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough quality control inspections throughout the repair and maintenance processes of gas turbine components. Your expertise will ensure adherence to stringent safety, quality, and compliance standards while contributing to the operational excellence of our facility.
Key Responsibilities
The Inspector will play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of quality within our operations. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Comprehensive Inspection Duties: Perform detailed incoming, in-process, and final inspections on gas turbine components to identify any nonconformances or defects. Your keen eye for detail will be essential in ensuring that all components meet or exceed industry standards and specifications.
- Technical Evaluation: Interpret, measure, and evaluate inspection results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications. Your ability to analyze data and make informed decisions will directly impact the reliability and performance of our products.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare accurate and detailed technical reports that document job conditions, defects, and any deviations from standard procedures. Clear and concise reporting is crucial for maintaining transparency and facilitating continuous improvement.
- Compliance and Safety Leadership: Uphold all GEMTEC policies and procedures while promoting a culture of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) excellence. Your commitment to safety and quality will set a positive example for your colleagues and contribute to a secure and efficient work environment.
- Process Adherence: Ensure strict adherence to Work Instructions and Quality Management System (QMS) procedures. Your diligence in following established protocols will help maintain consistency and reliability in our operations.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, you must meet the following qualifications and possess the following skills:
- Education and Experience: A technical diploma in a related field, coupled with hands-on experience in quality inspection within manufacturing operations. A minimum of five years of quality inspection experience is highly desirable.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, Work Instructions, and QMS procedures. Familiarity with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods and the use of precision measuring instruments, such as calipers and dial indicators, is essential.
- Analytical and Communication Skills: Strong ability to write technical reports and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Proficiency in using MS Office applications is required, and knowledge of SAP is a preferred advantage.
- Certifications and Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of EHS principles, quality standards, and shop computer systems. NDT certification is a valuable asset that will enhance your ability to perform comprehensive inspections.
