Role Overview

As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the technical execution and successful delivery of pumping system projects. Your responsibilities will encompass ensuring projects meet specifications, adhere to budget constraints, and are completed within the designated timeline. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, project management acumen, and strong interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts across multiple disciplines and stakeholders. You will be instrumental in driving projects from inception to completion while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning and Execution: Assist in developing comprehensive project plans, schedules, and estimates. Monitor progress against critical milestones to ensure timely delivery while maintaining alignment with project objectives.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance: Uphold rigorous standards for quality, safety, and contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle. Identify and mitigate risks to prevent deviations from project requirements.
• Vendor and Supplier Coordination: Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to track procurement activities, material deliveries, and deliverables. Ensure seamless integration of external resources to support project timelines.
• Interdisciplinary Coordination: Facilitate seamless communication and coordination among engineering, procurement, and construction teams to achieve project goals efficiently and effectively.
• Technical Issue Resolution: Proactively identify and address technical challenges. Provide data-driven recommendations to Project Management to resolve issues and optimize project outcomes.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Participate in technical meetings with customers and suppliers, including HAZOP, P&ID, and 3D Model Reviews. Ensure timely closure of action items and maintain transparent communication channels.
• Documentation Management: Oversee the preparation, review, and issuance of project documentation, including specifications, plans, requisitions, and discipline-specific deliverables. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records throughout the project.
• Bid and Procurement Support: Review bid requisitions, conduct technical evaluations, and tabulate recommendations for equipment and material awards. Ensure procurement decisions align with project requirements and budget constraints.
• Change Management: Identify, control, and monitor project changes. Process potential change orders with precision to assess impacts on scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring informed decision-making.
• Production Support and Stakeholder Management: Provide ongoing support to production activities and manage day-to-day interfaces with internal and external stakeholders. Conduct weekly project reviews to assess progress and address any deviations promptly.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, with a specialization in Project Management preferred.
• Certifications: PMP Certification is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in the Energy & Infrastructure sector or related industries, with a proven track record in project execution.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of project management principles and familiarity with planning tools and methodologies.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and independently on international assignments.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English, with strong negotiation and presentation skills.
• Core Competencies: Demonstrated ability in decision-making, teamwork, and coordination, with a focus on delivering results under pressure.
