This role is pivotal in supporting the startup, testing, and commissioning of critical water treatment systems, including DMF, UF, SWRO, BWRO, CEDI, GTMDO, and chemical injection units. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring operational excellence, maintaining equipment integrity, and adhering to stringent safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for a wide range of operational and maintenance activities, including:
- System Support and Commissioning: Assist in the startup, testing, and commissioning of water treatment systems, including DMF, UF, SWRO, BWRO, CEDI, GTMDO, and chemical injection units. Support pipeline flushing, hydrotesting, and pre-commissioning activities to ensure seamless operational readiness.
- Operational Monitoring and Data Recording: Monitor plant parameters and record operational data in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) guidelines. Track critical process and water parameters to prevent scaling, fouling, and other operational concerns.
- Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance of pumps, dosing systems, vacuum pumps, blowers, valves, actuators, and instrumentation. Ensure all equipment operates at optimal efficiency.

- Instrument Calibration and Sampling: Calibrate online instruments such as conductivity/resistivity, pH, ORP, DO, CO₂, and flow/pressure sensors. Conduct routine grab sampling for parameters like conductivity, silica, DO, and sodium, and reconcile results with online analyzers.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures, regulations, and quality standards to ensure a secure and compliant work environment. Communicate effectively with peers and supervisors, providing clear and timely feedback on operational issues.
Role Accountabilities
The Mechanical Technician is expected to:
