Commercial Analyst

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Commercial Analyst to drive strategic decision-making and financial excellence within our organisation. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing robust commercial models, crafting compelling business cases, and providing data-driven insights to support executive leadership. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping revenue strategies, evaluating investment opportunities, and optimising financial performance across key initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial Strategy & Financial Modelling: Lead the development and refinement of the Ilmi commercial model, encompassing business case preparation, revenue and monetisation strategies, and sponsorship opportunities. Design and implement visitor lifetime value models, conduct operating cost analyses, and deliver accurate financial forecasts to guide strategic planning.
• Investment Analysis & Decision Support: Evaluate commercial options and provide actionable investment recommendations to senior leadership, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives. Conduct thorough market assessments and benchmarking exercises against global experience centres and educational institutions to identify best practices and opportunities for improvement.
• Cost & Revenue Optimisation: Develop and refine cost models to enhance operational efficiency while maximising revenue streams. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify monetisation opportunities and refine pricing strategies to drive sustainable growth.
• KPI Development & Benefits Realisation: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of commercial initiatives. Implement benefits realisation frameworks to ensure that projects deliver measurable value and align with strategic goals. Regularly review vendor commercial arrangements to optimise partnerships and contractual outcomes.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting: Present findings and recommendations to executive stakeholders in a clear, concise, and compelling manner. Foster collaboration with finance, operations, and commercial teams to ensure cohesive strategy execution and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will possess a strong analytical mindset coupled with exceptional financial acumen. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in commercial strategy, financial modelling, and business case development, supported by experience in investment analysis and revenue optimisation. Proficiency in benchmarking, market assessment, and cost modelling is essential, along with the ability to develop and track KPIs to drive performance. Excellent communication skills and the capacity to translate complex data into actionable insights are critical for success in this position.

Preferred Experience
