System Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, implementation, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise-level systems supporting the Committees Management System. This is a three-month onsite position requiring a minimum of five years of relevant experience, with a strong emphasis on technical expertise and problem-solving capabilities. Proficiency in Arabic is mandatory, and candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or an equivalent field.

Key Responsibilities

The System Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our infrastructure by performing a wide range of technical duties, including:

• System Architecture Design: Develop and optimize system architectures to meet organizational needs, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Server and Infrastructure Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain servers and related infrastructure components to support enterprise applications and services.
• Application Deployment and Maintenance: Deploy, update, and maintain software applications, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
• Performance Monitoring: Proactively monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective measures to enhance operational efficiency.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across multiple platforms, minimizing disruptions to business operations.
• Security and Availability Management: Implement and enforce security best practices to safeguard systems against threats, while ensuring high availability and uptime.
• Deployment Support: Provide technical support during system deployments, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal impact on end-users.
• Documentation: Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including system configurations, troubleshooting guides, and operational procedures, to support knowledge sharing and future reference.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following technical competencies and qualifications:

• Operating Systems: Proficiency in Windows and Linux administration, with hands-on experience in system configuration and management.
• Virtualization Technologies: Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or similar solutions.
• Networking Fundamentals: Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewall configurations.
• System Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, or SolarWinds to track system health and performance.
• Backup and Recovery: Expertise in implementing and managing backup solutions to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
• Security Protocols: Knowledge of security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability assessments.
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
• Troubleshooting: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Education and Experience

Applicants must meet the following educational and professional requirements:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of hands-on experience in system engineering or a closely related role.
• Fluency in Arabic is mandatory, as the role requires onsite engagement with stakeholders and end-users.
• Willingness to work onsite for the duration of the project.
