Executive Financial Analysis and Support Unit Supervisor
The Executive Financial Analysis and Support Unit Supervisor is a strategic role responsible for leading financial analysis activities, providing executive-level financial insights, and driving continuous improvement within the Financial Analysis and Executive Support Unit. This role is instrumental in enhancing financial performance, supporting strategic initiatives, and ensuring accurate financial information is delivered to senior management.
- Financial Analysis: Lead the preparation of financial analysis, forecasts, and business performance reports. Analyze financial statements, operational performance, and key financial indicators. Evaluate financial risks, identify opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency, and develop financial models to support strategic business decisions.
- Executive Financial Support: Provide financial recommendations and decision-support analysis to executive management. Prepare executive-level dashboards, presentations, and management reports. Support executive committees with financial insights for strategic initiatives, and translate complex financial information into clear recommendations for senior leadership.
- Budgeting & Planning: Coordinate the annual budgeting and forecasting process. Monitor departmental budgets, ensure compliance with financial plans, and support long-term financial planning and resource allocation initiatives. Recommend budget optimization opportunities.
- Performance Management: Develop and monitor financial KPIs across business units. Identify trends and recommend corrective actions to improve financial performance. Support business units in achieving financial targets.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial policies, internal controls, and applicable regulations. Support internal and external audit activities. Maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial information. Promote financial governance and best practices.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Supervise and mentor Financial Analysts within the unit. Coordinate with Finance, Strategy, Investment, Procurement, and other business functions. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and analytical excellence. Lead process improvement initiatives within the financial analysis function.
- Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual executive financial reports. Present financial findings and recommendations to executive leadership. Perform other related duties assigned by management.
Candidates should possess 6-9 years of experience in Financial Analysis, Corporate Finance, FP&A, or Financial Planning, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role. Experience supporting executive management and within government, semi-government, investment, or large corporate organizations is highly desirable. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field is required, with a Master's degree (MBA or Finance) preferred. Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, CMA, or FMVA are highly preferred.
