Role Overview

The Architecture Sit Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects by overseeing architectural implementation on-site. This full-time position is based in Cairo, Egypt, and requires hands-on involvement in the day-to-day management of architectural and construction activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for verifying that designs are accurately translated into physical structures, adhering to project specifications, safety protocols, and local regulatory requirements. This role demands close collaboration with civil engineers, project managers, and construction teams to maintain alignment with project goals, resolve technical challenges, and ensure seamless integration of ICT and audiovisual systems within the built environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Oversight: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress, ensuring adherence to architectural drawings, design standards, and project timelines. Identify and address discrepancies or deviations promptly to maintain quality and compliance.
• Technical Coordination: Collaborate with civil engineers, project managers, and contractors to resolve technical issues, clarify design intent, and facilitate smooth execution of architectural plans. Serve as a liaison between design teams and on-site personnel to bridge any communication gaps.
• Quality Assurance: Participate in quality control processes, including reviewing construction materials, workmanship, and installation practices. Ensure that all aspects of the project meet or exceed established standards and regulatory requirements.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on site progress, challenges encountered, and corrective actions taken. Maintain accurate records of inspections, approvals, and modifications to support project documentation and compliance audits.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal teams, clients, and external partners to align expectations, provide updates, and address concerns. Facilitate effective communication to ensure all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
• Integration of ICT Solutions: Support the integration of advanced ICT systems, including security and audiovisual solutions, into architectural designs. Ensure that these systems are seamlessly incorporated into the building infrastructure without compromising structural integrity or aesthetic considerations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience in architectural design, construction oversight, or a related discipline, with a proven track record in managing on-site architectural implementation.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong command of architectural and engineering design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software. Familiarity with MS Office Suite for documentation, reporting, and project management purposes.
• Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Egyptian building codes, safety regulations, and construction best practices. Ability to interpret and apply these standards to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
• Project Management: Demonstrated ability to plan, track, and report on project progress, timelines, and deliverables. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and adapt to evolving project requirements.
• Collaboration and Communication: Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with engineers, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders. Proficiency in both written and verbal communication to convey complex technical information clearly.
• Adaptability: Capacity to work on-site full-time in Cairo, manage dynamic project environments, and respond to unforeseen challenges with a solution-oriented approach.
• Preferred Experience: Prior involvement in projects that incorporate ICT, security, or audiovisual solutions is highly advantageous, as it aligns with ANMAT’s focus on integrated technology solutions.
