Key Responsibilities
The Data Management Lead will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our data strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and industry best practices. Your responsibilities will encompass the following core areas:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a forward-thinking data strategy, including a clear roadmap that aligns with organizational goals and drives long-term value.
- Framework Development: Collaborate in designing and refining the data management framework, addressing critical components such as master data management, data quality, and architectural integrity.
- Governance and Compliance: Lead the establishment and enhancement of data governance processes to meet evolving organizational and regulatory requirements, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
- Policy Implementation: Oversee the execution of data management policies and procedures, ensuring they are effectively communicated, adopted, and enforced across the organization.
- Data Quality Management: Spearhead the data quality program, driving continuous improvement initiatives to maintain high standards of accuracy, consistency, and reliability in our data assets.
- Project Leadership: Manage data management programs and related projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with strategic objectives.
- Change Management: Lead the data change management program, facilitating smooth transitions and ensuring stakeholder buy-in through effective communication and training.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Contribute to the overall success of the company by supporting additional initiatives and responsibilities as assigned by senior leadership.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a closely related field. Professional certifications such as CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional), CIPP (Certified Information Privacy Professional), or CIPM (Certified Information Privacy Manager) are highly desirable.
- Technical Expertise:
- In-depth understanding of data governance frameworks, particularly the DAMA-DMBOK (Data Management Body of Knowledge).
- Proven experience in data quality management, metadata management, and data lifecycle practices.
- Strong knowledge of PDPL (Personal Data Protection Law) and other data privacy regulations.
- Familiarity with data sharing processes and governance mechanisms to ensure secure and compliant data exchange.
- Hands-on experience with leading data governance tools such as Collibra, Informatica, or Microsoft Purview.
- Proficiency in data visualization and analytics tools, including Power BI or Tableau, to derive actionable insights from data.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and strong coordination skills to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant professional experience in data management, governance, or related fields.
