Key Responsibilities

The Procurement Officer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of critical materials, including automation products, smart meters, and related components. Your responsibilities will include:

• End-to-End Procurement Management: Oversee the entire procurement lifecycle, from sourcing and vendor evaluation to contract negotiation and order processing.
• Supplier Engagement & Negotiation: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with both local and international suppliers to secure the best value, quality, and delivery terms.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, sales, warehouse, and finance teams to align procurement activities with project timelines and operational needs.
• Supplier Performance Monitoring: Track supplier delivery schedules, product quality, and compliance with contractual agreements to mitigate risks and ensure reliability.
• Market Research & Cost Optimization: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify new suppliers, cost-saving opportunities, and emerging trends in the automation and electrical industries.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and regulatory documentation to ensure adherence to company policies and industry standards.
• Inventory Optimization: Collaborate with warehouse teams to balance inventory levels, preventing shortages or excess stock while supporting business continuity.

Key Requirements

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years in procurement, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in automation, electrical, instrumentation, or smart metering industries.
• Supplier Management: Proven ability to work with both local and international suppliers, including experience in import/export procedures and global procurement practices.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems to streamline procurement processes and reporting.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to build and maintain strategic vendor relationships.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving: Ability to assess market conditions, evaluate supplier performance, and resolve procurement-related challenges efficiently.
