Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Specialist to join our team at Fakeeh Health Care. In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and compliant healthcare services across our facility. The Quality Specialist will be responsible for conducting comprehensive mortality and morbidity reviews, overseeing performance improvement initiatives, maintaining rigorous documentation standards, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and accreditation requirements. This position demands a proactive approach to identifying areas for improvement, analyzing data trends, and driving continuous quality enhancement throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

The Quality Specialist will be entrusted with the following core responsibilities to uphold and elevate the standards of healthcare delivery:

• Clinical Reviews: Perform in-depth chart reviews to assess mortality and morbidity triggers as outlined in organizational policies. Prepare and present detailed agendas and minutes for Mortality and Morbidity Committee (M&MC) meetings, ensuring accurate documentation and case presentations to support informed decision-making.
• Documentation and Compliance: Conduct qualitative reviews of electronic medical records (EMR) to verify adherence to clinical documentation policies. Ensure that all documentation practices align with internal standards and external regulatory requirements, fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability.
• Audit and Reporting: Develop, analyze, and interpret monthly audit reports to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for improvement. Present findings to the Quality Risk Management (QRM) team, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), and other leadership stakeholders, recommending actionable strategies to enhance performance and compliance.
• Committee Involvement: Actively participate as a key member of selected committees to contribute to strategic discussions, policy development, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Data Management: Serve as a critical contributor to the validation process for new Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Responsible for collecting and validating manually recorded KPIs from designated end users, ensuring data integrity and reliability.
• Privacy and Security Oversight: Monitor and enforce strict adherence to privacy and confidentiality protocols for patient information across the facility. Safeguard sensitive data in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Accreditation and Compliance: Collaborate with the team to maintain compliance with regulatory, governmental, and accreditation standards, ensuring that Fakeeh Health Care meets or exceeds all required benchmarks for quality and safety.
• Performance Improvement: Lead and support performance improvement projects aimed at enhancing clinical quality, patient safety, and operational efficiency. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through data-driven insights and evidence-based practices.
• Training and Development: Develop and deliver educational programs focused on audit processes, quality standards, and regulatory compliance. Conduct workshops on documentation accuracy, patient safety, and leveraging patient feedback to drive service enhancements. Facilitate ongoing professional development to keep staff informed of the latest advancements in healthcare quality management.
