Functional Consultant (HIS or RCM) - Immediate joiners preferred

About the Role

We are partnering with a leading healthcare and hospital network organization in the Middle East, currently undergoing significant expansion. To support this growth, we are seeking two highly skilled Functional Consultants—one specializing in Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and another in Revenue Cycle Management (RCM). Ideal candidates will be available to join immediately and bring a minimum of 3 to 6 years of relevant experience to drive operational excellence and system optimization within our client’s expanding network.

HIS Functional Consultant Responsibilities

As a key member of the implementation and support team, the HIS Functional Consultant will play a pivotal role in aligning clinical workflows with Group standards and ensuring adherence to KSA healthcare regulations. You will be responsible for configuring and optimizing clinical modules, including admission, patient records, pharmacy, and laboratory systems, to enhance operational efficiency and user experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the HIS roadmap by participating in system upgrades, enhancements, and version releases
• Providing functional support to medical teams and end users, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating with technical teams for resolution
• Conducting rigorous testing and validation to ensure system reliability and compliance
• Documenting clinical workflows, functional specifications, and user training materials
• Monitoring HIS KPIs such as user adoption, incident rates, and SLA performance to drive continuous improvement
• Training key users and supporting hospital sites during implementation and post-go-live phases
• Collaborating with ERP, interoperability, and RCM teams to ensure seamless integration and data flow across systems

To excel in this role, you must possess a strong understanding of hospital workflows, functional analysis capabilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality system configurations. Experience with multiple HIS/ERP modules is highly desirable, as is a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.

RCM Functional Consultant Responsibilities

The RCM Functional Consultant will be instrumental in standardizing revenue cycle processes across the organization’s entities while ensuring alignment between clinical activities and billing operations. You will support revenue assurance initiatives, optimize cash flow, and ensure compliance with NPHIES and KSA coding standards to maximize financial performance.

Your core responsibilities will include:

• Gathering and analyzing RCM requirements related to admission, coding, billing, claims, and collections
• Translating business requirements into functional system configurations within HIS, ERP, and SaaS platforms
• Supporting testing phases, go-live activities, and operational support to ensure smooth transitions
• Managing functional incidents and improvement requests with a focus on root-cause resolution
• Monitoring denials, NPHIES errors, and conducting detailed root-cause analyses to reduce financial leakage
• Tracking RCM KPIs such as Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), clean claim rate, and rejection rate to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Collaborating with finance and operations teams to implement corrective actions and enhance financial outcomes

Ideal candidates will have a deep understanding of RCM workflows, healthcare revenue flows, and experience with multiple RCM systems. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 3 to 6 years of experience in RCM or healthcare billing systems are required. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
