Position Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Authorized Inspector to join our team in Qatif, Saudi Arabia. This critical role requires a professional who will ensure compliance with national and international standards, particularly those set by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). The Authorized Inspector will play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest levels of safety, quality, and regulatory adherence across various industries, including oil and gas, petrochemicals, and industrial facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in inspection methodologies, regulatory frameworks, and industry best practices, with a commitment to upholding the stringent requirements of KSA authorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Compliance: Conduct thorough inspections to verify adherence to KSA regulations, including those issued by the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO), the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, and other relevant authorities. Ensure all operations meet legal and safety standards.
  • Safety and Quality Assurance: Perform detailed assessments of equipment, processes, and facilities to identify potential hazards, non-compliance issues, or quality deficiencies. Provide actionable recommendations to mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive inspection reports, including findings, observations, and corrective actions required. Maintain accurate records of all inspections and ensure timely submission to relevant stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with facility managers, engineers, and safety teams to facilitate compliance and address any concerns. Serve as a liaison between the organization and regulatory authorities to ensure seamless communication and resolution of compliance matters.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of evolving regulations, industry trends, and technological advancements in inspection methodologies. Recommend improvements to processes, policies, and training programs to enhance overall compliance and safety performance.
  • Emergency Response Support: Assist in emergency response planning and investigations, providing expert insights to prevent recurrence of incidents and ensure regulatory compliance during crisis situations.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field. Advanced certifications in inspection, safety, or quality assurance are highly desirable.
  • Certifications: Valid certification as an Authorized Inspector from recognized bodies such as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) or equivalent KSA-recognized authorities. Additional certifications in safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are advantageous.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in inspection, safety, or quality assurance within industries such as oil and gas, petrochemicals, or industrial manufacturing. Prior experience in a regulatory or compliance-focused role is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in inspection tools, testing equipment, and software used for documentation and reporting. Strong analytical skills to interpret regulations and assess compliance effectively.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Arabic is a strong asset.
