Position Overview

Join The Jeddah EDITION as a Lifeguard and play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of guests at our premier luxury resort. In this dynamic and highly responsible position, you will oversee pool and aquatic facilities, enforce safety protocols, and provide exceptional guest service. Key Responsibilities

• Safety Supervision: Maintain constant vigilance over pool areas, identifying and mitigating potential hazards to prevent accidents or injuries. Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with all local and international aquatic safety regulations.
• Emergency Response: Act swiftly and decisively in emergency situations, including water rescues, first aid administration, and coordinating with medical personnel when necessary. Maintain certification in CPR, AED, and first aid to respond effectively to any incident.
• Guest Interaction: Provide a welcoming and secure environment for guests of all ages. Offer assistance, answer questions, and ensure adherence to pool rules while delivering a high level of customer service. Address guest concerns professionally and promptly.
• Facility Maintenance: Monitor water quality, cleanliness, and equipment functionality to ensure a pristine and safe aquatic environment. Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate department immediately.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members, including pool attendants, housekeeping, and management, to maintain operational efficiency and deliver a seamless guest experience. Participate in daily briefings and safety meetings to align with team goals.
• Training and Development: Stay updated on the latest lifeguarding techniques, emergency procedures, and industry best practices through ongoing training and certification renewal. Share knowledge with colleagues to enhance overall team performance.

Qualifications and Skills

• Certifications: Valid lifeguard certification (e.g., Red Cross, Ellis & Associates, or equivalent) with current CPR, AED, and first aid training. Additional certifications in water rescue or pool operations are advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of lifeguarding experience in a luxury resort, hotel, or similar high-traffic aquatic environment. Experience with VIP or high-profile guests is a plus.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to swim long distances, lift up to 50 pounds, and stand for extended periods. Excellent stamina and agility to respond quickly in emergencies.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. A proactive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; additional languages such as Arabic or other regional dialects are highly desirable for guest interactions.
